VITI WHIPPY Owner, Gurrawa Ferry Service Viti Whippy was approached by an enthusiastic young girl who wanted to be a sea captain. As there were no facilities for women on Viti's vessels, the girl had to sleep ashore at night. She then went to a nautical college where she attained a perfect score and today is learning to be a chief officer aboard the 'Boral Gas'
Viti's advice: "Give up a lot of your time. Be totally dedicated. Have an optimistic outlook." |
